Primary Function
As a Captain you directly contribute to the success of the organization by assisting the store General Manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. The role is to deploy MOD Squad Members, and to delegate tasks so that the MOD experience is achieved and maintained for customers.
As a MOD Squad Captain your objective is to live, teach and demonstrate the MOD Pizza culture in all interactions.
Essential Duties
- During shift, directs MOD Squad Members to various work stations to ease operational flow; ensures superfast service, cleanliness standards, and customer needs are met
- Fosters a positive learning environment through clear, specific, timely, and respectful coaching/feedback to MOD Squad Members on shift; ensures MOD Squad Members performance
- Executes store opening/closing procedures as dictated by store General Manager
- Develops positive store relationships with MOD Squad Members through understanding and addressing individual motivation, needs, and concerns
- Follows standard operating procedures set forth by MOD Pizza including cash handling, safety and security
- Follows all cash management and register policies to ensure proper cash management
- Acts with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the MOD Pizza culture in all interactions
- Maintains a calm/cool presence during peak volumes or unannounced events to set an example of how to provide memorable customer service to all MOD patrons
- Assists with new MOD Squad Member training through positive reinforcement, respectful coaching, and providing direct feedback to the General Manager on MOD Squad Member performance during shift
- Quality check for all MOD products provided adhering to MOD Pizza recipes and presentation guidelines
- Adheres to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for all products
- Direct contributor to reinforce a positive MOD Squad environment, recognizes team successes and communicates with General Manager regarding the MOD Squad morale
- Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
Requirements
- Two years customer service experience in retail or restaurant environment
Required Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of a restaurant environment, possesses strong passion for MOD Pizza
- Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with MOD Squad Members
- Ability to learn quickly
- Effective oral communication skills
